The PADI Divemaster Course
Lead by example and take charge – become a PADI Divemaster, where your adventure as a dive professional begins. The main goal of the PADI Divemaster course is to coach you to becoming a competent dive leader and a valuable member of the diving community. The program aims to provide the PADI Divemaster trainee with theoretical knowledge and practical skills critical for working within the dive industry, as well as helping you to develop and hone your leadership capability.
What You Learn
The PADI Divemaster course consists of three components – knowledge development, confined water training sessions and practical application. These elements combine to increase your dive leadership abilities and professionalism. You will learn more about your role as a PADI Divemaster, supervising diving activities, assisting with student divers in training, dive theory, Divemaster-conducted programs, diver safety & risk management, specialized skills & activities and the business of diving.
Minimum Qualification
– Minimum age: 18 years
– A minimum of 40 logged dives – 60 by the time of certification
– (including night, deep & navigation)
– PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent certification from another agency)
– Completed EFR Primary & Secondary Care training within the last 24 months
– Medically evaluated & cleared for diving by a physician within the last 12 months
– Highly recommended – PADI Deep Diver and Search & Recovery Specialties
